[NukeNet] Toshiba Builds 100x Smaller Micro Nuclear Reactor

Well, just in time for the holidays. I know what I will ask Santa for.
(a high-level radioactive waste dump maybe??)
But can it withstand the crash of today's commercial aircraft, the NRC
is asking (not).
Seriously, Japan -- one of seismic capitals of the world -- seems like a
poor place to market these. I would think disaster relief to high
population density earthquake sites would be complicated enough without
adding a radioactive burden to the mess to deal with. I wonder what the
fuel used is; the waste products; etc. Who does the refueling and how
after 40 years. Whence and wither the wastes.

I know, I am such a cynic. A glass half-broken person by nature.
Bah, humbug I say!
