Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS) is pleased to announce
the successful spin-off of its Beyond Nuclear project to the Nuclear
Policy Research Institute. This move, initiated by the NIRS Board of
Directors at its May 21, 2007 meeting, enables NIRS to focus on its
fundamental mission of serving, supporting and empowering grassroots
activists across the U.S., and through its continued affiliation with
World Information Service on Energy, across the world, while also
allowing for necessary expansion of our activities to fight a new
generation of proposed nuclear reactors.

We wish the Beyond Nuclear project and NPRI much success and look
forward to collaborating on our mutual goal of ending the atomic age.
NIRS' veteran staff will continue to provide the information and
assistance on nuclear power, radioactive waste, radiation and
sustainable energy issues that so many grassroots organizations,
individuals, the media and policymakers rely upon.

Watch for announcements about new NIRS programs coming soon, and, as
part of the intended expansion of the anti-nuclear movement, new
positions opening at NIRS!

Best wishes and no nukes!
