House Concurrent Resolution 362 contains language urging the Pres to 
blockade Iran -- this would be an act of war. Bush taking such action 
would be to ignore US responsibility under the UN Charter since he would 
be acting without UN Security Council authority. Another illegal war.

Last night Steve Leeper, Elizabeth Baldwin and two people from Hiroshima 
(one a survivor from the 1945 bombing) were here. Steve is carrying a 
very very clear WAKE UP call to us -- he says that folks in all parts of 
the world he has been recently know that the world is teetering -- 
teetering because Bush / Cheney is determined to expand the HOT war -- 
they are planning to bomb Iran -- or help Israel to do it -- and will 
leave office having ensured their vision of war without end...

In addition to this grim perception of our situation -- Steve and the 
people he has been talking to feel that the "nuclear option" is still on 
the US table -- that this attack on Iran is all about *using nukes* to 
stop nukes... a twisted justification to step out of the "deterrence 
only" position on nuclear weapons...with yet another "first strike" by 
this country.
PLEASE TAKE TIME TO ACT -- PLEASE CONSIDER MORE ACTIONS -- PLEASE 
COMMUNICATE IDEAS -- THERE IS NOTHING MORE URGENT!
