On Monday, July 28th, the California Energy Commission will post its draft analysis of full costs, benefits and risks of the state's dependence on aging reactors - beyond current license terms. I would love to have others review and provide input, but our greatest need is a geologist - specializing in seismic issues - to support the CEC's further investigation into:
1. New acquisition of 3D seismic data to generate High Resolution images of offshore fault systems to determine detailed location, orientation, and movement over time of major fault blocks near the reactors.
2. Same as above but instead - re-interpretation of older 2D offshore seismic data using modern data processing and imaging systems to
generate Low-resolution images of offshore fault systems to determine
location, orientation, and movement over time of major fault blocks near
the reactors.
I will be able to make this request a bit clearer when I see the draft on Monday, but wanted to start a "heads-up" asap.
Thanks
In Peace
